It doesn’t matter what you are good at, it is how you use your talent to make a difference that counts. This workshop focused on the effective use of people’s talent to contribute to a good cause. LiveBuild believes that every human being has the power to improve his/her life and the lives of others. Regardless of our talent, each and every one of us is able to make a contribution. The workshop gave us inspiring examples of young talents from both Cameroon and the Netherlands who are using their unique skills to make a change. We also discussed LiveBuild as an odd entity in the international development world. We explored what is needed to connect talents and make optimal use of people’s drive and goodwill. Within the Netherlands LiveBuild has a large community of active volunteers and partners who collaborate in events, festivals and other actions. Within Cameroon they support communities to realise and manage their own public services, like water and education.
