Biography

Professor Dr. Dekker conducts research at the Institute for Microelectronics and Submicron Technology and at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science of TUDelft. Prof. Dekker works with the ‘living chip project’ which aims at fitting stretchable microchips with heart muscle cells and achieving a functional co-integration of silicon based IC technologies and living cells and tissue. Applications pursued include drug screening devices, implantable energy sources and actuated catheters.
